Ligo Leather

Size: 366 sq-ft Status: complete

Scope: commercial design, project management, and construction administration

This 360 sq-ft showroom in a materials design center focuses on showcasing leather products, presenting a unique challenge amid competitive surroundings.

Inspired by Pablo Picasso's bull works, my design revolves around the natural texture of leather. Emulating the evolution from concrete shapes to geometric lines, I aim to capture the bull's power and beauty in minimalistic sketches, mirroring this spirit in the showroom experience.

The space is structured into two distinct zones: the outer circle features a diverse display using wood, stone, and earthy elements, emphasizing product authenticity. Contrasting this, the inner circle boasts glossy white epoxy flooring and walls, blurring boundaries to accentuate the vibrancy of our genuine cowhide products.

Using black iron round pipes in various sizes accentuates different spatial levels, creating an artistic play with arcs instead of straight lines. My custom-designed seating, reception, and cowhide displays embody sophisticated design while showcasing our in-house products.

This blend of rich materials, contrasting colors, and thoughtful spatial design aims to create an unforgettable space that significantly enhances product recognition.
